United Nations Foundation Representative to Speak at FAU

Gillian Martin Sorensen, Senior Advisor at the UN Foundation, to address College of Education Community Forum

WHAT:           Florida Atlantic University’s College of Education will host
                        a presentation by Gillian Martin Sorensen, senior advisor at
                        the United Nations Foundation, entitled, “Living and Learning
                        Together:  The United Nations, Children’s Rights and Education,”
                        as part of the College’s Distinguished Scholars Series Community
                        Forum.

WHEN:           Wednesday, April 2 from 6:15 to 8 p.m.

Based on years of international experience, Sorensen will address the value and role of the United Nations and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as how today’s educators can promote and protect the rights of children worldwide.  Additionally, she will speak about the United States-United Nations relationship.
