FAU to Host “Turning Your Ideas into Revenue”
Innovation to Commercialization Workshop and Certificate Program
BOCA RATON, FL (March 7, 2006)—Florida Atlantic University will host a one-day workshop and certificate program, “Turning Your Ideas into Revenue,” on Thursday, March 30 from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Grand Palm Room of the University Center at FAU’s Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.
The workshop’s keynote speaker is David J. “Dr. Dave” Bradley, creator of "Ctrl…Alt…Delete" and one of the original IBM engineers who started the IBM PC development in 1980. Participants of the workshop will learn how to become more innovative, evaluate and protect their ideas, and commercialize their creations. They will hear first-hand from some of the nation’s most innovative thinkers, entrepreneurs and experts. The workshop’s other featured speakers include:
- Scott H. Adams, acclaimed entrepreneur, founder of the FAU Adams Center for Entrepreneurship and member of FAU’s Board of Trustees
- Daniel "Dani" Raviv, Ph.D., nationally renowned innovation speaker, co-holder of a "Guinness World Record" and FAU professor of electrical engineering
- Charles Resnick, leading venture capitalist and managing partner of Inflexion Partners
- Gregory A. Nelson, expert patent, trademark and copyright attorney with Akerman Senterfitt, Attorneys At Law
- Michael A. McNeal, successful entrepreneur, innovator, and president and CEO of Emergin, Inc.
