FAU Student Film Club Produces Seminars on Film Industry

           DAVIE, FL (February 28, 2006) - Florida Atlantic University’s Student Film Association will host an upcoming seminar series for aspiring actors and independent filmmakers.  Seminars will take place at FAU’s Davie Campus on the date below beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Building LA-124.

          The seminars are held as part of a series of events to encourage growth and participation in the field of filmmaking. All seminars are open to the public and are free unless otherwise noted.  Upcoming seminars include -

March 4 – All About Filmmaking 101, with cinematographer, producer-director Heath McKnight

March 25 – FX Make-Up Queen Bloody Mary, with make-up artist Bobbie Weiner  (Titanic, Behind Enemy Lines)

April 22 – Screen Combat Safety (Possible charge for this seminar to be determined at later date)

 May 12 – 13 – FAU 1st Annual International Student Film Festival

              FAU’s Davie campus is located on College Ave.  Take I-95 to the I-595 exit. Go west approximately two miles to the Davie Road Extension exit, then south to Nova Drive.
