FAU’s New Board of Trustees Appointment
Bob Stilley Joins Board in February
BOCA RATON, FL (February 16, 2006) - Florida Governor Jeb Bush appointed Robert “Bob” Stilley to the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees. The Trustees, a 13 member group, are responsible for cost-effective policy decisions appropriate to the university’s mission, the implementation and maintenance of high-quality education programs, the measurement of performance, the reporting of information and the provision of input regarding state policy, budgeting and education standards.
“FAU is poised to be one our nation’s great research universities, and I am excited and proud to have been appointed to the Board of Trustees,” said Stilley. “I look forward to working with everybody at FAU to provide an environment that meets the goals of this great university.”
Stilley has served as president and CEO of HeartCare Imaging, Inc. since 1998, bringing over 20 years experience in the diagnostic imaging and cardiology industries to HeartCare Imaging. Prior to this, he was an original partner in Summit World Trade and was instrumental in Summit’s successful joint ventures with Hitachi Medical Systems of Japan and SMV of Buc, France, two companies that revolutionized the diagnostic imaging marketplace through the introduction of products like the “Open” MRI. Stilley is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Society of Nuclear Medicine and a founding member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Technology. He received his degree in business administration from the University of Florida.
