(left to right) New and returning faculty members at the MacArthur campus were welcomed back for the fall semester at a reception hosted by Dr. Kristen Murtaugh, campus vice president, shown here with Dr. Deborah Harris, education, and Dr. Suman Basuroy, business. Staff members from 14 campus departments created displays showcasing their areas. Refreshments and networking were the order of the day.

Organ donors formed a "living ribbon" earlier this fall as part of FAU's Festival of Life on the Boca Raton campus. Hosted by the Campus Volunteer Center, S.A.V.I. (Students Advocating Volunteer Involvement) and students from the Freshman Learning Community, the festival benefited the Transplant Foundation and raised awareness for its Get Carded program. Over 100 organ donor cards were signed at the event by members of the FAU community.

Hundreds of business people, government officials and researchers gathered in the Live Oak Pavilion on the Boca Raton campus for FAU Research Day last month. Sponsored by the Division of Research, the event highlighted research from the University's colleges and offered a panel session on industry-university collaborations as well as roundtable discussions on topics ranging from cancer research to issues of aging.
