Purpose
The special collection of the DeGrove Library contains secondary sources that serve cutting-edge research in the areas of growth management, sustainable development, and smart growth. The purpose is to assist researchers directly with materials that are unavailable in main university libraries.
Secondary Sources
The collection includes electronic data bases, software programs, geographic information system maps, comprehensive plans, architectural drawings, and government reports. The collection also serves as a clearing house for unpublished materials such as conference presentations and working papers. These materials tend to be more recent and detailed than published journal articles. Special files also are available for journal article abstracts by specific subjects. The files help researchers to write literature reviews for articles and grant proposals. The collection also maintains updated files of course syllabi by specific subjects. These files assist faculty in writing new course syllabi and proposals.
DeGrove Library Paper Series
The DeGrove Library’s working paper series is published by the College of Architecture, Urban and Public Affairs (CAUPA) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). This Series is CAUPA’s mechanism for peer and editorial feedback on manuscripts before submission for publication in academic journals.
