Purpose
This program is designed to advance research in growth management, sustainable development, and smart growth via occasional visits of prominent urban-regional scholars. The guest professor visits the College of Architecture, Urban and Public Affairs (CAUPA) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). While visiting the College for 2-3 days, the guest professor interacts with faculty members and research center associates via several venues for enhancing creative activities. The main venues are research colloquium, brown bag lunch, graduate class lecture, work shop, and office hours for one-to-one discussions about research and collaboration with faculty and graduate students. Other venues might be considered according to faculty needs and guest interests.
Guest Types
The program is open for three types of guests: (1) a recognized prominent scholar with broad knowledge of the field, (2) an expert with in-depth technical expertise in methods, statistics, drawing, design, maps, or GIS, and (3) a distinguished public or private practitioner with hands-on experience.
