WELCOME TO FAU'S DANIA BEACH CAMPUS

Dania Beach (SeaTech) Campus is FAU's Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering, located on eight acres between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway in Dania Beach, Florida, with valuable access to the ocean and sea water.

Established in 1997 as a state-funded Type II research center, the Institute is part of FAU's Department of Ocean Engineering. Its team of world-class faculty members, engineers, technicians and students are engaged in federally and industry-sponsored ocean engineering research and technology development in the areas of acoustics, marine vehicles, hydrodynamics and physical oceanography, marine materials and nanocomposites.

SeaTech builds on and complements the academic programs of the Department of Ocean Engineering and forms the means for technology advancement, collaboration with academia, industry and government, and transition of research projects to applications.

Delivering the best teachers, preparing executives to lead successful companies, inspiring students to use their education to make a difference in the community, and playing a key role in solving the affordable workforce housing dilemma are just a few of the roles FAU is playing in shaping the future of Broward County.
