| During the admissions process, your category is determined by the number of credits completed. See below: Credits completed Admission Application Category 0-12 Freshman 13-59 Lower-division Transfer 60+ Upper-division Transfer Bachelor’s Degree Second Bachelor’s Student ** Priority is given to applications that are received on or before February 15th. Applications received after the priority deadline will be evaluated for the requested fall term. However, we cannot guarantee that the applicant will be admitted or will receive the necessary registration information in time for enrollment. Applications to the College of Nursing, should be completed by November 30th of the preceding year. Accepted students will receive information about orientation, registration and pre-enrollment requirements and opportunities prior to the beginning of the terms.

Application Form - Your application for admission will be processed after the application fee is received. The application fee of $30 must be in US currency. Fee can be paid by credit card once the on-line application has been completed. Check or money order should be made payable to Florida Atlantic University and must be drawn on a US bank; postal money orders, international money orders or US traveler’s checks are acceptable (see below).

Transcripts - Contact the Registrar's Office from each of the previous colleges or universities you have attended (except FAU) and have your official transcripts be sent directly to the FAU Admissions Office.
International Students:
Transcripts from foreign institutions must be translated into English. Undergraduate applicants who completed all or part of their higher education abroad will be required by their program to have their foreign credentials evaluated by an independent evaluation service. (See Undergraduate International requirements section). If you have attended a U.S. college or university, please request an official transcript be sent to the FAU Admissions Office.
Please send Foreign Credentials directly to the Evaluation Agencies. DO NOT send Foreign Credentials to FAU Admissions Office. Financial Certification Form (FCF) International Students Only:
This form must indicate the total amount of financial support being provided for your entire education. Estimated expenses are itemized. You must have funds equal to or greater than this amount. Read the instructions on this form carefully and follow the documentation procedures precisely. If you are receiving an assistantship, a letter from the department indicating the amount of support must be provided. If the assistantship is for less than the required amount, you must provide the above documents to verify the difference
