Who is considered a Permanent Resident Alien?
Green card holders, Parolees, Asylees, refugees, or other permanent status persons (e.g., conditional permanent residents and temporary residents), who have applied to and have been approved by the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services with no date certain for departure.
Who is considered an International Student?
- If you are not a citizen of the United States or you are not a permanent resident alien, asylee, or refugee, you are classified as an international applicant.
- if you are a pending permanent resident alien, you are classified as international applicant.
