** You must have a valid United States social security number (SSN) in order to submit the FAU Online Undergraduate Application. International Students who do not have a United States social security number will need to enter all zeros (000000000) for the social security number. The admissions office will provide you with a valid student number for the processing of your application. Your U.S. Social Security number is needed in order to match your record with all required official documents (transcripts, test scores, and residency). If you are planning on receiving Financial Aid (FAFSA, Bright Futures and Florida Pre-paid), your U.S Social Security number is required. Contact your nearest U.S. Social Security Office to apply for one.) The State University System of Florida operated a system of records prior to January 1, 1975, pursuant to regulations of the Florida Board of Regents, that required the use of Social Security numbers. Therefore each university may continue to require the disclosure of Social Security numbers by applicants and students under Federal Privacy Act of 1974. This information was and currently is received from you for connection with the provision of university services including tax information as required by the IRS.

Application Fee - (Non Refundable): Your application for admission will be processed after the application fee is received. The application fee of $30 must be in US currency. Fees can be paid by credit card once the on-line application has been completed at: https://fauapps.fau.edu/uapp/AdmAppFee.htm. Fees cannot be deferred or waived.
Checks or money orders should be made payable to Florida Atlantic University and must be drawn on a US bank; postal money orders, international money orders or US traveler�s checks are acceptable (see below).
Once you have completed the on-line application, if you choose not to pay via credit card, please print off the last page of the application (FAU Undergraduate Admission Application Post Checklist) or on a separate piece of paper include your name, your social security number and session id number, and included the $30 application fee. Mail these items to Florida Atlantic University at the address listed below.
