Resources for Online Consultations

Online consulting sessions are different from face to face sessions in several ways. Typically, when you are talking in person, you have your readings, paper, and assigment in a notebook ready to show the consultant. For the most effecive online consulting sessions, you should have digital versions of these documents available for uploading at the beginning of the session.

Online consulting is also different because of the technologies that are being used. We use a feature of the WCOnline Scheduler, the WCOnline Consultation Module, to providede a chat and text window for disscussing your writing as well as audio and video connections.

You can expect online sessions to take slightly longer than face to face sessions becuase of the technologies, but you should find that the online sessions provides the help that you need.
